Tips & Tools for Raising Emotionally Healthy Kids

Posted by on Aug 1, 2016

It’s that time again. School supply ads are inundating our TV’s, inboxes, and mailboxes. It could only mean one thing—Back to School! This time of year brings about a lot of change for our kids—no matter what their age or stage. I recently presented on the emotional needs of kids and I’ve included some basic emotional needs during each stage as well as some resources below. This information is not exclusively for parents. Many volunteer in churches, some work in schools, and we all encounter kids of family members or friends.  It takes a village to raise a child, and you have the opportunity to have a positive influence on the kids you encounter, while providing them the emotional support they need. As we transition to fall I pray that the Lord provides you with insight and encouragement as you provide structure and healthy emotional support for the kids in your life.

Thank You!

With Back to School season comes another opportunity for our counselors to be in our local schools working with a new group of students. We look forward to partnering with the elementary schools in our community to help their students. This is only possible because of the generosity of all of our Peace Partners. We are truly grateful for the individuals, businesses, small groups, churches and foundations who actively partner with us to provide access to professional counseling for so many children and families throughout our community. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
